Be Worthy

Photo by John Noonan There comes a time, When you receive, More than you are worthy, More than you earn. Whether you take up, That which comes your way, Knowing it is beyond your wishes, Knowing you are not entitled. The heart sways, While the mind says, Choose only what you deserve, Be blind to what is available. In the long drawn battle, Between the heart and mind, A fight to be won, Rightfully by the mind. Like the battle scars, Adorned by heros, They are glory medals, On the war chest of your character.

The soul of a Strategist

Photo by Craig Garner Passionately deciphering, The means to reach the needy, In the messed up agoras around the world, We are passionately trying. We see the door ahead, Along this long dark stairs, Though shrowded in the dark, We see it calling. The beginning is way behind, As we stand at the brink, Thinking of new ways to mesmerize, Reach the light at the end. Lost but not fallen, Impatient but not defeated, As the momentum pushes us forward, Tired yet raging. The journey is shrouded in mystery, Like a man searching in the dark, Tuning the other senses to see, What lie beyond the arms reach. We are the passionate minds, That work in the shadows, Not the soldiers who win battles, But the commanders who win wars. We were born with a capacity to see beyond, Calm the mind when all else is in chaos, Choose the path hidden in riddles, To reach the millstones set out.

Catch my drift

As we walk to the top, Bonded by memories old, I ask the air around, Do you catch my drift. We indulge in conversations, As we watch blue seas crash ashore, I ask the melody in the water, Do you catch my drift. We feel the sun burn down, As we play in the shine it provides, I ask the intense heat upon us, Do you catch my drift. As we sit on top, Surrounded by warm summer breeze, A new chapter in our memory unfolds, Driven by our passion for music. We are brothers born of circumstance, Born from the experience we share, A cosmic connection between minds, Spins musical magic every time. Do you catch my drift, It is in the air we breathe, In the ground we stand, And the magic of music we share.

The Looking Glass

Photo by Anders JildĂ©n A lot of me is because of a beautiful night I once saw on an evening in Coimbatore. There was a blackout as usual and to escape the mosquitoes I ran to the terrace. The terrace was lit. It didn't strike me at first. As I stand there wondering where the light was coming from, the red moon rises from the East. It was really late even for the moon and I sat there under it's mellow light for the night. At 3 am I had an epiphany. I wished to pen down my excitement. Now came my dilemma, my vocabulary was extremely poor, horrible spelling and a sense of grammar that made kinder garden students look like champions. But I penned it down non the less.  It's been 6 years, I am better off today. With a great deal of help from people I met across years I was able to bootstrap a decent amount of vocab, spelling and grammar. But every time I see a full moon I am immediately transported back to that dark moon lit night in Coimbatore and I am writing agai...

Something better

Photo by Turtle Photography I wonder about life in blues skies, I wonder about life in the depths of the seas, I wonder if they would trade places, Thinking the other is better. The sun glaces over the coral reefs, Like wind skimming over blades of grass, School of fish swim the wilderness, Like stallions sprinting across prairie grasslands. Yet I wonder,  Do they look for something new, Something that is fresh, Something with the promise of being better. But then, I see their collective dependence, They are serene because of it, Their ways of living off one another, Each helping the other live better. So, I lie beneath blue skies and wonder, Should I be looking for something new, I lie ashore blue seas and white sandy beaches and ponder, Maybe better, is right here!  I could never be sure, Then again, I don't think they were either, We had this thing in common, We were all searching for something better.
